The ALPHA HD PRO S Air Suspension Kit eliminates truck sag, sway, and bottoming out. It features Stainless Steel Hardware, Jounce Bumpers/Bump Stops. The internal polyurethane bumper prevents damage during bottoming out and allows comfortable driving without air when not towing. Available with or without the in-bag bump stop for added customization and peace of mind.

Why did Pacbrake add a bump stop to their bags?

Peace of mind.Customers want a bump stop to prevent bottoming out from loss of airbag pressure, an extremely rare event that could damage the airbags or potentially the frame of the truck. Think of it asan "insurance policy" against bottoming out.

An additional benefit is that you can run these airbags at 0 psi when unloaded for superior ride comfort.

Are bump stops necessary?

No! For those that require max travelin their airbags, to raise and lower their rear end to pickup trailers or boats, or for those that take their trucks off-roading,airbags without bump stops are recommended. Consider the HP100171 ALPHA HD air bag.
